Toasted Ravioli is a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer that features cheese-filled ravioli coated in a crunchy breadcrumb crust, fried to golden perfection. This mouthwatering dish is perfect for parties or as a delightful snack, served with marinara sauce for dipping.

  • 1 pound frozen cheese ravioli
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup Italian bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh oregano, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
  • Marinara sauce for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a shallow bowl, whisk together the milk and eggs.
  2. In another bowl, combine breadcrumbs, parsley, oregano, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Dip each ravioli in the egg mixture, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture on both sides. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for 30 minutes.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a large pot to 350 degrees F. Fry the ravioli in small batches for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Transfer the cooked ravioli to paper towel-lined plates and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Serve hot with marinara sauce, parmesan cheese, and fresh parsley if desired.
