Mango Lemonade

Mango Madness in a Glass! 🍹

Heyyy! So, are you ready for the most refreshing drink ever? It’s like summer in a glass! 🌞 I mean, who doesn’t love a good Mango Lemonade?! Seriously, it’s a vibe.

The finished dish — looks amazing, right?

Okay, so I totally went on a mango hunt for this recipe. Like, I literally went to three different stores just to find ripe mangos – you know, the kind that are soft and smell sweet? Phew. Finally scored two beauties. You’ll need:

– 2 ripe mangos (the squishier, the better)
– 1 cup lemon juice (fresh is best, but I won’t judge if you use bottled)
– 4 cups water
– 1/2 cup sugar (or more, or less, depending on your sweet tooth)
– 1/4 cup fresh mint (totally optional, but why not? It’s fancy!)
– Ice (DUH)

Okay, Let’s Talk Ingredients

Imagine me in the grocery store, juggling mangos and lemons while trying to remember if I actually have sugar at home (spoiler: I didn’t). The smell of ripe mangoes is insane! Makes you wanna just dive in and eat them all. And then you’ve got that bright, zingy lemon juice that just screams summer!

PS: If you find a nice mint plant that looks like it’s thriving, grab it! Adds a little extra magic.

So Here’s Why I Make This Constantly

Okay, real talk. This drink takes me back to lazy summer days spent at my grandma’s house. She’d whip up a batch whenever it was sweltering outside and we’d sip it while chilling on the porch, watching the fireflies. 🦋 Like, nothing can top that nostalgia! I made it for a barbecue last week and people were literally fighting over it. I mean, who knew a drink could create chaos? 😂 But it’s THAT good.

Another beautiful angle of the dish
Just as gorgeous from this angle too!

The One Trick That Changes Everything

Okay, this is HUGE: when you’re blending the mangos, make sure you’ve got a solid blender. Like, if it struggles, you’ll end up with weird chunks (not the aesthetic we want, right?). Also, start with the mangos, THEN add the lemon juice and sugar. Trust me, it makes the blending smoother!

Don’t Mess This Up (My Top Tips)

Taste Test! Seriously, don’t be shy. Keep tasting and adjusting the sweetness to your liking! The first batch I made was like a sugar bomb and I had to tone it down. Yikes!
Chill Time: Don’t skip the chilling part! It makes all the difference. If you serve it warm, it’s just sad.
Minty Fresh: If you’re adding mint, don’t throw it in until just before serving. It’ll keep that fresh pop!

How to Keep Them From Disappearing (Or, How to Store Them)

So, if by some miracle you have leftovers (which you probably won’t), just keep it in the fridge in a pitcher with a lid. It’ll stay good for about 2-3 days. But let’s be real, it’s probably gonna vanish the same day you make it.

If You Liked This, You’ll Probably Like These Too

If you’re into this vibe, you’ll love my Watermelon Slush (seriously, it’s a summer fave) or my Classic Arnold Palmer (half iced tea, half lemonade perfection). Also, have you ever tried making Hibiscus Lemonade? Game changer!

Alright, enough rambling! Have you ever made your own lemonade or fruit drinks? What’s your go-to summer sip? Let me know! 🍋🍹
