  • 500 g lamb, thinly sliced
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp ground cumin
  • 2 tbsp ground coriander
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • Pita bread for serving
  • Fresh vegetables (tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions)
  • Tahini sauce or yogurt sauce

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine lamb with garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, cinnamon, turmeric, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to coat the meat evenly.
  2. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour (or overnight for best flavor).
  3. Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Cook marinated lamb for about 5 to 7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked to your liking.
  5. Remove from heat and let rest before slicing thinly.
  6. Warm pita bread on the grill or skillet for a few seconds on each side.
  7. To serve, fill pita with sliced lamb, fresh vegetables, and drizzle with tahini or yogurt sauce.
  8. Roll up the pita and enjoy warm.
