  • 3 3/4 cups cake flour
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons cake flour
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted and cooled)
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. In a stand mixer, beat together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar on medium-high speed for about 3 minutes. Add eggs and vanilla; mix until fluffy.
  2. Whisk dry ingredients in a separate bowl. Gradually combine with wet ingredients, mixing until smooth. Chill dough for one hour.
  3. Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  4. For the filling, mix all filling ingredients until smooth. Scoop and roll into balls.
  5. Scoop chilled dough with a measuring cup, create wells, place filling inside, and seal by pinching edges together.
  6. Bake for 11-13 minutes until edges are golden. Cool on wire racks.
  7. Make the glaze by whisking all ingredients together until smooth. Spoon over cooled cookies and let set.
